and how do i feel about this NYT? well, from a journalism standpoint, one where i took tons of classes in college about adapting to this new wave of journalism and accepting the internet for what it is (and that it will be there forever more. why don’t people like newspapers again? oh right, lets be green now; and of course, ahem, it’s balls convenient) i get it. sort of. but what’s the registration doing if you’re not paying for it? let me be clear, i don’t want to pay and i probably wouldn’t, but can’t they get all the other information just by tagging hits? things like, where i’m located, how many stories i read, how often i am there, they already know. what does my name do? okay, maybe my age is relevant but still. and coming from a post-graduate, i’m not in it, i want my convenience standpoint, i really wish they would let me read in peace without having to fork over my information yet another time.
